Here are some tips to get more out of Topic Navigator.
- Filtering controls what appears onscreen but does not affect the underlying inventory. If something is in inventory, only archiving will remove it from the database.
- A filter only applies to the tab under which is was created, meaning you can have different filters set up for Topic Model, Keywords, Questions, and Reflect.
- The Export button only exports whatever data you see under its respective tab. For example, if you’re looking at a long list of keywords with multiple pages, exporting the current view will export all those keywords, along with volume, CPC, and trend. But it won’t export data from the other tabs.
- You can adjust the number of rows of data (helpful when looking at large lists of keywords).
- Mouse over any trend line to see the individual data points.
- Topic Navigator returns data that can be used in different ways:
- Topic model shows you which topics you cover within one piece of content on the topic you’re researching.
- Keywords returns a list of relevant keywords that could be used to build out supporting pages around the main topic you’re researching.
- Questions returns a list of questions to consider answering within the piece of content.
- Reflect shows how well your site covers those topics across one or more pages.
